Joseph "Joe" Lafayette Corn, 66, died Saturday in a Brunswick hospital.
Corn, a native of Buncombe County, had lived in Brunswick for 34 years. He was the son of the late Ralph Millard Corn Sr. and Blanche Irene Myers Corn.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah Eloise Marshall Corn; two daughters, Sara Lou Williams and Marie Elizabeth O'Brien; three sisters, Irene Wright, Juanita Stempson and Margaritte Faye Baggett; a brother, Ralph Corn Jr.; and three grandsons.
