In Memory of...

James Christopher Pounds, finally kicked the oxygen habit on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the age of 58. Private Interment will be held at a later date in Pounds Family Cemetery, Gwinnett County.

James was born on December 6, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Carlos Amos Pounds, Jr., and Ruth Teresa (Reid) Pounds. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Troy State University in 1995. With pride and commitment, MSGT Pounds served his country in the United States Air Force, receiving many distinguished medals, commendations, ribbons, and awards; retiring after his 20 year military career. His parents, and three siblings, Penny, Buzz and Vickie Pounds, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Eva Marie (Estey) Pounds, Fort Valley; brother, Michael Pounds, Alpharetta; sisters and brothers in law, Kathy Young (Dennis Sr.), North Carolina; Carla Jean Mongeon (Claude), Live Oak, Florida; Rocky Lampman (Dave), Tequesta, Florida; Samantha Pinder (Ronnie), Perry, Florida; Kasi Jones (Bob), of Dahlonega; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that he adored.
