Wife of James DinwiddieThe former Mary Frances Gleason, widow of James Dinwiddie, was born in Bennington, daughter of the late Elmer and Abbie Jane Buckley Gleason. She was one of nine children, only one brother being now left, Dexter M. Gleason, who resides in Florida. She was married to Mr. Dinwiddie, who died some years ago at Berwyn, Nebraska. The family lived in the west for many years and Mr. Dinwiddie was one of the pioneers in Custer county in Nebraska. They had six children, four of whom are living; Mrs. A. J. Dewey (Elizabeth) of Bennington, Richard of New London, N.H., Elmer of Bennington and Mrs. M. C. Rogers (Edna) of Yuma Colorado. Two sons, Robert and Raymond Dinwiddie, are deceased. Mrs. Dinwiddie would have been 79 years old next month. She had resided here with her daughter, Mrs. Dewey since last October, but had been in frail health for several years. Beside the above named survivors, she leaves 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
