David last worked as a Route Driver for the local Wise Potato Chip Distributor. Prior to that he was employed at Owens Illinois in Fairmont.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was an active and dedicated member of the Viola Church. His many interests included, fishing, deer hunting, watching sports and being around children. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his dear friend, Margaret "Bunny" Zirkle; a brother-in-law, Jack May of Fairmont; three sisters-in-law, Kay Kirby, Elaine Stutler and Margaret Stutler all of Fairmont; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and special little buddies, Mason Hak, Brett Colyer and Jackson Colyer.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Stutler Kirby; his brother, Jimmy Kirby; his sisters, Wilma Kane and her husband Bert, Barbara May and Hallie Haught and her husband Richard and two brothers-in-law, Wayne Stutler and Edward Stutler.
Friends and Family may call at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street Fairmont. The funeral service will be at 1pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Krepps officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover. Full Military rites will be conducted at graveside by the Marion County Military Council Honor Guard.
