Travis Ray Carter age 91 passed away at his home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Graveside services will be held Sunday November 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Rudicell Cemetery.
Mr. Carter was a 1943 graduate of Hamilton High School and also a 1949 graduate of Florence State Teachers (UNA). He was also a member of the Northport Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge 906 in Northport. Mr. Carter was a Veteran of WWII where he served 23 months with the 3rd Army in Europe.
Survivors include Children: William (Rhetta) Carter, Sylvia (Jud) Johnston. Grandchildren: Jared (Sharon) Caudle, Brian (Allison) Carter, Lauren (Michael) Taylor,. One great grandchild: Zachary Caudle.
He was preceded in death by Wives: Arlee Rye Carter and Lou Carter. Parents: Henry Allen Carter and Ida Knight Carter. Sisters: Hattie Harris, Addie Roberts and Zora Shotts. Brothers: Jessie Fray Carter, Jack Carter, Sam Carter and James Carter.
