In the 1850 Census of Rockingham County, Virginia, he is Christian, the son of Joel "Argabright" and Mary. They are called "Argabright".

In 1860 he is living in the household of William W Carpenter in Rockingham County, and is called “C T Argenbright”. By 1870 he has moved to Cooper County, Missouri and is called “Christian Argenbright."

"Thomas C" Argenbright married "Jenny" Stewart on March 3, 1877 in Cooper County, Missouri. They have 2 children by the 1880 census, where he is called "Thomas Argenbright."

On the 1900 Census for Clark township, Cooper county, Missouri, he is "Chris T Orgabright" age 61, born August 1838 in Virginia. They claim 10 children, 8 of whom are living.

He died around 1905 - his wife’s 1931 obituary says “interment was made in Pleasant Green cemetery by her husband who preceded her in death 26 years.“ On the 1910 census, she is a widow.
