SUZANNE (DUBEANSKY) FISHER

Suzanne (Dubeansky) Fisher was born in Arcadia, PA on February 3, 1916, the daughter of the late Steve and Suzanne (Jacupchack) Dubeansky.

She lived most of her life on 7th St. in Niagara Falls, NY, where she raised her children and cared for her grandchildren.

She lived a long and healthy life and passed away peacefully on October 1, 2007 at Schoellkopf Health Center.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 1981 and by her son, Gerald in 1987.

She is survived by her loving daughter, June (James) Bruno of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Pt. Colborne, Ontario. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren, Marni (Neil) Chur of Naples, FL, Ryan (Sondra) McKeon and Tyler (Erica) McKeon, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Tyson and Cooper Chur, Bryce McKeon and Mallory and Madison McKeon, respectively.

Suzanne’s two surviving brothers are living in Mentor, OH: Andrew (Polly) Dubeansky and Edward Dubeansky.

She was also predeceased by sisters, Anne (Dave) Simon, Helen (Von) Zjaba, Marie (Shirley) Alexander and brothers, John (Veda) Dubeansky, Steven (Pauline) Dubeansky and Joe (Bobbie) Dubeansky.

Suzanne loved gardening, painting and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted Bills’ fan and an avid bingo player who also enjoyed playing cards and challenging herself to Jeopardy and Millionaire. Above all, Suzanne was a gifted storyteller who could remember details and facts from so long ago and retell stories as if it was the first time. While we mourn her death, we celebrate her life through fond remembrances and stories.

Visitation Monday, October 15 from 5-8 PM at Zajac Funeral Home, Inc., 319-24th St., corner of Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday, October 16 and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM from St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259-4th St.

Burial following in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in memory of Suzanne Fisher to Schoellkopf Health Center Activities Dept., 621-10th St., Niagara Falls, NY 14302.
