William Henry Severy Sr. and wife all came to Fort Scott, Bourbon Co, Kansas from Danville,Vermilion County,Illinois on a wagon train in the year of 1868, five years after they married on August 23,1863.Then they moved about 100 miles west into Kansas and homesteaded.in 1879, they moved back to Fort Scott and bought land on both sides of the Military Bridge.In 1891 William Henry, Senior returned to Quebec, Canada for 2 years, then came back to live with William Henry, Junior.He died in Fort Scott and is buried in Chapel Grove Cemetery.
