Matthew was a machinist in the tool and die industry; he graduated from Meadville Area Senior High School in 2004, and subsequently graduated from PMI.
He attended Bethany United Methodist Church; was a member of the American Legion; an avid outdoorsman, and particularly loved to hunt and fish. Matthew was especially proud of his time coon hunting with his Grandpa Baker. He spent 15 years wrestling, and was a very skilled artist, especially drawing.
Survivors include: Matthew's parents: Mother, Susan Baker and her significant other Ron Zuccaro and Father, Timothy Baker and his significant other Christine McCarthy; a loved and adored daughter, Kayla Baker of Meadville. Matthew's brother Nathan his wife Katie Baker and their sons Mack and Gordon of Alexandria, VA. Matthew's paternal grandfather James Baker, and his maternal grandmother Carol Kuhn, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins survive.
Preceding Matthew in death were his: Paternal Grandmother Jean Baker and Maternal Grandfather Eugene Kuhn, and cousins: Elaina and Brandon Schreffler.
A visitation for Matthew will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 1 PM until 5 PM, at the Hatheway-Tedesco Funeral Home and Crematory, 614 Baldwin Street, Meadville, PA 16335
The funeral service for Matthew will be held on Sunday November 15, 2015 at Noon, at the Bethany United Methodist Church, 140 Wadsworth Avenue, Meadville, with the Rev. Jeff Bobin officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Matthew's Family in care of the funeral home.
