Jewel Lorene Lanehart, 92, passed away on November 11, 2015 in Sugarland, Texas. She was born to parents Rufus Blevins and Mittie Johnson on October 22, 1923. She was a member of Cypress Bible Church. She will be remembered by those who knew her as a devoted wife, loving mother, and her wonderful homecooking. Jewel is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Lanehart, Sr., her parents and daughter Pairlee Saye. She is survived by her children Thelma Jones, Aubrey Brown, Roy Brown, Shirley Lanehart, and John Lanehart, Jr.; her 16 Grandchildren and several Great and Great-Great Grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, from 3 pm to 5 pm on November 15, 2015. A service celebrating her wonderful life will take place at Memorial Oaks Chapel on November 16, 2015 at 12:30 pm with an internment to follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
She will be greatly missed by many and forgotten by none…May she rest in the eternal love of Jesus.
