Carl H. Meyer, 77, of the town of Scott, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at his home.

Carl was born on April 13, 1938, in the town of Kewaskum, the son of the late Frederick and Ella (Block) Meyer. On July 1, 1961, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Stahl at United Church of Christ in Boltonville.

Carl was lifelong member at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane where he was a trustee and was a member of PEP Club going on numerous trips with Bonnie. Carl proudly served his country for three years in the U.S. Army National Guard. He loved farming, nature, animals, and took up bird watching after retirement where he also cultivated more card playing circles. Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and followed all of their sporting events and other activities. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers and Brewers where he would go tailgating on many family outings. Carl always enjoyed a pleasant conversation among a wide association of friends and sharing a good laugh. He will be deeply missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and by all who knew him.

Those Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Bonnie; two children, Carmen (Joseph) Zelten of West Allis and Craig (Jill) Meyer of Oak Creek; six grandchildren, Zachary Zelten, Emily Zelten, Luke Zelten, Nicholas Meyer, Ethan Meyer, and Katelyn Meyer; a sister, Elvira (Vincent) Nigh; a sister-in-law, Janet Meyer of Mayville, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by a brother, William Meyer; two sisters, Dolores Kurth and Valeria Meyer and two brothers-in-law, Melvin Hackbarth and Earl Kurth.
