He married Evelyn Van Guisen(9/21/1814 Lancaster, PA - 1888 Glenville, NY)and died of consumption. He was reinterred 10/4/1865 from Hutchinson Road Van Patten farm to Vale Cemetery. He had two children Sarah who married Samuel Veeder and Philip who married Josephine Campbell of Newark, NJ and ended up in CA.
