Mrs. Elliott's Funeral

The funeral services of Mrs. Mary Elliott were held from the home this afternoon at two-thirty o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. O. Shank of the Baptist church. She was seventy-five years old and was buried on the day that would have been the fifty-second anniversary of her marriage to Joseph Bayless Elliott, which event took place in January 1860. He died in July 1904, at Chandler, Okla. In early life she joined the Methodist church, but at the time of her marriage became with her husband a member of the Baptist church, of which she has remained a faithful member. Mrs. Elliott was the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive her. The living children are: Mrs. Maggie Golden, of Osbourne, Missouri; Henry Elliott, of Amorilla, Texas; C. E. Elliott, of Scanton, Kansas; Mrs. Francis Barbhart, Belle Plaine, Kansas; A. F. Elliott Aubrey, Missouri; Mrs. Voila Hobson, Sherman, Texas; Mrs. Mary Holeman, Parnee, Missouri, and Miss Besse Elliott of Winfield. Of these, Mrs. Holeman, Mrs. Barnhart, Mr. Hopson and Miss Bessie Elliott were present for the burial services. Besides these relatives she leaves a host of friends to share with the family, in their loss.
