Sidney Clifford Willis, 92, of Carrollton, MO passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Golden Living Care Center in Independence, MO.

Sidney Willis was born July 20, 1923 in Wakenda, MO, the son of Clifton M. and Elsie M. Huffman Willis. He married Evelyn Rose Adkins on March 5, 1944.

Sidney had worked at Swift Implement as a truck driver. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart Recipient. Sidney was a life member of Carrollton VFW Post 1773 and a member of the Carrollton Masonic Lodge.

Sidney is survived by a daughter, Shelia Fiene and partner, Gary Saladin, Independence, MO; a brother, Ray Willis, Carrollton. Two grandchildren: D. Mack Fiene and Kasey Fiene both of Independence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, his parents, an infant son, Sidney C. Willis, a brother, Clyde Willis and a sister, Glendel.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at Carroll Memory Gardens Cemetery with Military Rites. No visitation. Memorials may be made to Carrollton V.F.W. Post 1773 in Mr. Sidney C. Willis' memory.
