David Reed of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away November 12, 2015 at 7:02 p.m. at the age of 71.

David was born January 6, 1944 to Thurman and Caroline Reed of Gamaliel, Arkansas. He is proceeded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Amy Reed; daughter Tonya (Phillip) Slaughter; a son, Jimmy (Joyce) Smith; four grandchildren, John (Kelly) Morris, Caroline (Tim) Fannon, Robbie Kemp and Abi Kemp; four great-grandchildren, Emma and Addy Morris and David ( his namesake) Morris and Gaige Fannon; five sisters and a brother.

David was a avid fisherman and hunter. He is also known for having his record deer recorded in Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young organizations. David worked in construction before retirement. He would tell you that his greatest pleasure in life was the joy of teaching his grandsons, John and Robbie about fishing, hunting and the great outdoors.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at Conner-Hankins Funeral Home & Cremation Center. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Frances Stone officiating.
