Samuel, son of Thomas and Blanche (Wanke) Burns was born April 5, 1932, in Lyndon Station.
On December 8, 1962 he was united in marriage to Shirley Higgins in Frezno, California.
Sam was employed as a meat cutter for most of his life.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and watching the Packers and the Black Hawks.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Redlin Funeral Home with Pastor Lisa Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service home.
Military Rites will be conducted by the Baraboo Veterans Honor Guard.
