Wanda "Boo Boo" Lane, age 83, of Lockney, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2015. Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Lockney Cemetery and a memorial service will immediately follow at the South Plains Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Wanda was born on September 14, 1932 in Flomot, Texas. Wanda was married to Bob Lane from Turkey on November 29, 1952. They both attended West Texas State University. They resided on a farm in the Sterley Community and raise their three children JH, Glen and Gwen. Wanda worked as a homemaker and raised her children. She later took a job as a mail carrier for the US Post Office and eventually retired from the South Plains Post Office as Post Master. Wanda was a member of the South Plains Hobby Club and loved to play Bridge with friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, of 47 years in 1999.
Wanda is survived by her two sons; JH Lane of Lockney, Glen Lane of New Braunfels and her daughter; Gwen Lane-Waller of Bellville, grandchildren; Tara Lane Lenz, Kenya Lane, Brooks Lane, Gates Lane, Memory Lane, Stetson Lane, Drew Waller and Leah Waller, great grandchildren; Braden, Natalie and Maysee Lenz and Madden and Harley Lane.
