Karen Ann Harvey, 65, of Steele City died at Beatrice Health and Rehabilitation on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. She was born on December 14, 1949 at Nyack, New York.
She attended school in New York and graduated from high school in New Jersey.
She worked as a bartender and bar manager in New York, New Jersey and West Virginia before moving to Nebraska in the early 1990's. She worked for the Har-Bar in Harbine, Rock Creek Inn in Jansen and at the Salty Dog in Steele City until her retirement.
She moved to Steele City in 2002 and was married to Jim Harvey on June 11, 2005 in Fairbury.
She enjoyed working and meeting the people, reading, riding Harleys with Jim, baking especially during the holidays, and eating Italian food.
Survivors include her husband, Jim (Rabbit) Harvey of Steele City; one son, Tom Allen and wife Tonya of Pensacola, Florida; and one step-daughter, Jasmine Withrow and husband Brent of Evansville, IN; four grandchildren; one sister; numerous other family members in West Virginia and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mildred Faccio Ellsworth and one brother.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Ralph W. Russo officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Steele City Cemetery. The body was cremated. Visitation will be held from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice. A memorial has been established to the family's choice.
