Services for Andrew Clifton Moore are at 2 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015, at Antioch Baptist Church. The Rev. Kelvin Spurlock and Rev. John Mclain will officiate and interment is in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Moore died Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at his residence in Pavo. Born August 16, 1926 in Baker County, Georgia, he was the son of John Clifton Moore and Stella Jones Moore, both of whom preceded him in death. On Dec. 7, 1963, in Southmills, North Carolina, he married Alice Fay Brooks Moore of West Virginia. He was a very active member of Antioch Baptist Church and he served on several committees and was active in the church choir He retired from the United States Army after serving 26 1/2 years and was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He then worked in Security for Southwire Inc. for 27 years. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign war, a member of the N.R.A. and volunteered working with local military veterans. Survivors include his wife, Alice Mooreof Pavo; daughters, Connie DiMarco (Mike) of Ray City, Georgia, Linda Moore of Hahira, Georgia; grandchildren, Holly Stiles (Chris) of Munhall, Pennsylvania, Rhys Spencer, Sean Spencer, both of Ray City, Georgia, great grandsons, Tyler and Lincoln, of Munhall, Pennsylvania; sisters, Elizabeth Manley of Albany, Edith Prevette of Whigham; brother, Therman Moore (Betty) of Tallahassee, Florida; sister, Polly Gay of Tallahassee, Florida; brothers, Huey Moore (Nina) of Houston, Texas, Charles Moore (Lora) of Moultrie, Herman Moore (Linda) of Fortson and Jimmy Moore of Albany. He was preceded in death by his half brother Hilton Moore. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
