GUERNEVILLE -- Funeral services will be Friday for former golf professional Charles Henry Brown, 56, 16200 Laughline(sic) rd., Guerneville, who died yesterday at a Santa Rosa hospital after a long illness.
Mr. Brown had been the golf pro at Northwood Golf Course in Monte Rio, retiring within the last few months. He was born in Vienna, Austria, while his parents were vacationing there in 1915.
He had lived in Sonoma County seven years and in California 35 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Brown, and a son, Pat Brown, both of Guerneville, and a brother, James J. Brown, Butte, Mont.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Guerneville Redwood Chapel with the Rev. Robert Jones officiating.
Inurnment will be private.
