Monday, November 9, 2015 Glenda Cox Robertson, age 52, passed away Nov. 9th, 2015 at her residence in Corbin, Ky. She was born at Gray, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her mother Bertha Adams Cox, father James Parker Cox, beloved niece Sarah Aufrance, and brother Bobby Wayne Cox.
She is survived by her husband Jim Robertson; stepchildren Jamie Dean and Eva Jean; grandchildren: Emily, Tanner, Baily, Jeb, Lexus, Jacob, James Robert and Jay Lynn; sisters: Kathleen and husband Jim Coty, Tavia Aufrance, Jennifer Cox, Opal White and Mary Davis; brothers: Jay Cox and wife Robin Edwards Cox, Alexander Cox, James Cox and wife Gladys, Lester Cox; nieces: Cassondra Thorn, Laura Lee Aufrance, Katie Driscoll, and Lauren A. Cox; nephews: Jay Cox, Taylor Cox, Sam Cox and Thomas Cox; and sister-in-law Kathi Jean.
Glenda grew up in the Gray United Methodist Church. As an adult, she loved kids and caring for them, and enjoyed tending her flower garden.
Her visitation will be held from 6 until 8pm Friday, Nov. 13, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cox Cemetery at Gray.
