AMERICO ABBATELLI, 79, of Mount Ephraim, died yesterday at Cooper Hospital- University Medical Center, Camden.
Mr. Abbatelli lived in Mount Ephraim for 40 years and was a butcher at Campbell Soup Co. from 1942 to 1974. Mr. Abbatelli was also a barber and operated a shop on Kings Highway in Mount Ephraim for more than 15 years in the 1950s and 1960s. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Mount Ephraim and was the father of the late Gerald Abbatelli .
Survivors: his wife, the former Laura DeMarco; a son, Angelo of Mount Ephraim; two daughters, Barbara Detwiler of Blackwood and Dolores Wright of Glendora; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter of Sunnyvale, Calif., and three sisters, Lucy Askins of Swedesboro, Lillian Carr of Mount Ephraim and Rita Baptiste of Barrington.
Services: viewing, 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, Rilatt-Metts Funeral Home, 400 Clements Bridge Rd., Barrington; funeral, 8:45 a.m. Friday at the funeral home; Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, Sacred Heart Church, Kings Highway, Mount Ephraim; burial, Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
