Nora May Hablutzel of West Plains died yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Audrey Judd following an illness of 60 days, suffering from a stroke.
She was born in Oregon County, May 1, 75 years ago, the daughter of the late Nim and Harriet (House) Huddleston. She had spent her entire life in Oregon County and was married there in 1905 to Frank Hablutzel who preceded her in death in December of 1938.
She had been a member of the Methodist Church since early womanhood.
Surviving are three children, Waldo Hablutzel of West Plains, Mrs. Hazel Davidson of Keene, TN, Mrs. Audrey Judd of West Plains; one brother Charles Huddleston of West Plains; three sisters, Mrs. Bess Harris and Mrs. Ottie Harris both of West Plains and Mrs. Vergil (sic) Parsons of Waldport, OR.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hablutzel will be Wednesday in the Elk Creek Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Alva Fike officiating. Interment will be beside her husband in the Jolliff Cemetery under direction of the Robertson Funeral Home of West Plains.
