Hodges, Lillian P. Died in Seattle, WA on 5/18/09 after fighting several melanoma cancers which were complicated by dementia. Lillian lived in Seattle only 10 months while her daughter & son-in-law, Ann & Wally Walberg took care of her in their home. She was born in Duluth on 8/20/21, the year after women received the vote. In 1946 she married Wayne Taylor and moved to Minneapolis. Beginning in 1963, she resided in Richfield, was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church and worked consecutively at the Stable (Southtown), JC Penney and the VA Hospital. In 1987, she married Edwin Hodges, moved to Bloomington and became a snowbird, spending time each winter in Fountain Hills, AZ. They attended Christ Church of Fountain Hills. Survived by daughter, Ann (Wally); her much loved youngest brother, Richard (Eleanore) Thorsell; 5 nieces & nephews, 7 grand nieces & nephews, and friends too numerous to mention by name -- Lillian knew you all and loved you greatly. Lillian served God every day, but especially in her volunteer work with the U of M International Visitors at Stadium Village Church teaching English as a second language. She received much joy from her work there and made wonderful friends from China, Japan, Korea and many other countries.
