MARION, Va. Kathy Louise Hopkins, age 56, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Ashe County Community Hospital in Jefferson, N.C. Kathy was born in Ashe,County, N.C. to the late William and Opal Dutton and was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hopkins; and a sister, Teresa Rhea. She is survived by her two daughters, Kim Hopkins Beliveau and husband, Tyler, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. who have two sons, Nate and Kwynn Beliveau. Her youngest daughter, Cassie Hopkins Houchens and husband, Andre, of Mineral, Va. are expecting their first son, Ayden James Houchens who will be born in January. Her brother, Doug Dutton; her father-in-law, Nathan Hopkins; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Russell and husband, Danny. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Bradley's Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Hopkins officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Lowman Valley Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com.
