He graduated from Boonsboro High School in 1982. In 1987, he joined the United States Army and fought overseas during Desert Storm. He ended his military career in 1991. He worked as a correctional officer in Jessup, Maryland but later transferred to the Western Correctional Institution (WCI). He retired from WCI in April 2014. He was an avid hunter and had a passion for the great outdoors.
In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by his daughter, Brittani N. Forsythe of Williamsport; brother, Jeffery Coulter of Falling Waters, WV; and his dog, Gidget.
A graveside service will be held at the Boonsboro Cemetery, Boonsboro; military honors will be rendered by the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 from Boonsboro.
