A native of South Carolina, Mrs. Huggins had resided in Haywood and Buncombe Counties for most of her life. She was a member of Community Chapel Church.
Mrs. Huggins was the daughter of the late Jahu and Etta Sue Duckett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hamilton Huggins, who passed away in 1957; sons: Paul Huggins and Rev. Dean Huggins; granddaughter, Erin Denise Huggins; four brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her grandson, Charles Huggins and wife Ashley; three great-granddaughters: Erin, Skyler, and Colby, all of Canton; and two daughters-in-law: Lisa Odom and Sherry Huggins.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Community Chapel Church, with the Rev. Dean Rice and Rev. David Scruggs officiating. Burial will follow in Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery.
