He was born June 8, 1950 in Muncie, Indiana the son of the late Burnett and Myrtle Lou (Cook) Caldwell.
Fred was very proud of being employed at General Motors as an electrician. He loved to travel, especially traveling to the ocean at Cocoa Beach; he loved fine dining, gardening, cooking for his wife and family, Elvis Presley, and spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. Most importantly he had an unconditional love for Jesus, his family, and his dog Cate.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Caldwell, Muncie; children, Rodney Burnett Caldwell, Albany; Katrina Annette Kelly, (John Ramsey), Anderson; Richard Batt Jr., (wife Tammy), Muncie; and Melissa Batt, (Jason Delk), Muncie; thirteen grandchildren, Tristan, Eli and Alex Caldwell; Cade Kelly; Ella Ramsey; Corey, Randy, and Amanda Batt; Brian and Damon Carroll; Carrie Baker; Michael and Sydney Batt; ten siblings, James Caldwell, (wife Virgi); Walter Caldwell, (wife Shirley); Stella Weaver; Grover Caldwell, (wife Carolyn); GP “GB” Caldwell; Violetta Dennis, (husband Roy); Terry Caldwell; Sam Caldwell, (wife Toni); Allen Caldwell; and Teresa Caldwell; one brother-in-law, Elvis Hood; four sister-in-laws, MaryAnn Taylor, (husband Daniel); Geneva Hazlewodd, (husband Gary); Loretta Reagan; and Susan Ashberry, (husband Craig); mother-in-law, Neva Hood; and his best friend, David Back.
