Aaron Kenneth Franklin of Afton, TN flew to the stars Thursday, November 5th, 2015. He was greeted at the door of his new home by his loving grandparents, Kenneth Howard and Jonnie Timbs Harrison.

Aaron was a phenomenal musician, artist and writer. He was one of the most intelligent and incredibly unique people God ever made. Aaron had a heart of gold and cared deeply about his loved ones. He had a favorite quote by Carl Sagan, “For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love. We are made of star stuff.”

The pain of his departure will be felt by all who knew him, especially his wife and best friend, Amanda Franklin and son, Liam Kenneth Franklin. He will also be tremendously missed by his parents, Kim and David Peek; sister and brother-in-law, Keera and Rob Weaver; brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Evelyn Franklin; uncle “Buh” Harrison; his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Debi Penley; brother-in-law, Logan “Jenkins” Penley and sisters-in-law, Alexis Humphreys and Tourii Penley.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Thursday preceding the funeral service. Interment will follow in Fairview Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a Military Graveside

Active pallbearers will be his family and friends.
