John W. Malmo, 22, of Black River Falls passed away unexpectedly Monday, Oct. 5, 2015.

John touched the lives of so many people in so many ways with such positive impact. Always giving, always loving, he was someone who could always be counted on. He had a great personality, was the life of the party, and was particularly known for his great impressions, jokes and funny stories.

John spent this summer working at Alpine Resort in Egg Harbor. He was a very hard worker, filling in where ever needed. He became great friends with his coworkers, who came from all over the world, and had high hopes of visiting each one of them in their own country.

Most of all John was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to all he met. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Malmo, of Black River Falls; father, Charles Malmo of Sturgeon Bay-Green Bay, Wis.

Memorial service for John will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at the Lunda Community Park on Tyler Street in Black River Falls. The Reverend Scott D. Skogen of North Presbyterian Church, La Crosse, will be officiating.

A donation will be made in his honor at a later date to an organization that aids people who struggle with depression.

The Cremation Society of Wisconsin, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona, Wis., 54720, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
