Sister Pamela Welch, CSC (Pamela Lou Welch)
Nov. 10, 1953 - Nov. 7, 2015

NOTRE DAME - Sister Pamela Welch (Sister Pam to most of us) was born in Anderson, Indiana, in 1953 and entered the Sisters of the Holy Cross from there in 1978. She was predeceased by her parents, Gomer H. and Kathryn (Clark) Welch, and her sister, Dee Raison.

Her sister, Marie Fulton of Anderson, and many nieces and nephews survive.

Except for her first five years in Michigan and Idaho, the rest of Sister Pam's ministry years were spent in Indiana. Sister Pam loved working with people. Her ministries, including Human Resources, pastoral care, compensation analyst and vocation director for her congregation, prove this. One of her favorites was her current work with REAL Services, a social service agency in South Bend.

Sister Pam died on November 7 and now celebrates eternal happiness with her God. Reception of the Body and Wake Service is on Monday, November 9, at 10:30 a.m., with Mass of the Resurrection on the same day at 1:30 p.m. All ceremonies will be held in the Church of Our Lady of Loretto. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of the Holy Cross, Ministry with the Poor, Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, IN 46556, or online at www.cscsisters.org. Kaniewski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
