Memorial services for Kelly Campbell, age 41, of Plainview will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. Reverend Tim Koester will officiate with burial at a later date.
Arrangements will be held by the Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Kelly Gene Campbell, son of Jackson and Geraldine (Gerre) Braunsroth Campbell was born on November 10, 1968 at St. Vincents Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended Bloomfield Community Schools. He married Christy Bennett on August 8, 1991 at Vista, California. One daughter was born to them, Nelia Rae. On May 6, 1999 at Missoula, Montana, he married Candice Stacken. Two boys were born to them, Lane and Logan. Kelly lived in Bloomfield, NE, Missoula, MT, Torrington, WY and Plainview, NE throughout his life. He was a truck driver who drove truck coast to coast and was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Bloomfield, as well as a member of the VFW. He was involved in his childrens activities and sponsored their bowling team. He was active in the Marine Corps from 1987-1991 during the Gulf War.
Kelly died from a sudden battle with cancer on March 13, 2010 at the Plainview Hospital at the age of 41.
Survivors include his children, Nelia Rae, Lane, Logan Campbell of Plainview, NE, Chris Bennett of California and Laredo Stacken of Plainview, NE; brother; Kurt Campbell (Cherie) Campbell and Branden, Edessa, Emma Christman and Wyatt Campbell of Torrington, WY; parents, Jack and Gerre Campbell; grandparents, Gib and Arline Braunsroth; cousins, Chris, David, Chad and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Elman and Charlotte Campbell; Fred and Bertha Braunsroth and Ralph and Hilda Hall.
Kelly touched many hearts and lives throughout his travels across the country and will be greatly missed.
