Dawn Joy Peters, 60, of Comer, died Monday, November 9, 2015. Born in Gladwin, Michigan, she was the daughter of Ellyn Mae & the late Earl Chester Peters. Ms. Peters enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Jewel Giesbrecht. In addition to her mother, survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Dianne Wade, Shawna Renee (Chad) Gary & Desire Janielle Tate; three sisters, Dottie Peters, Denise (Verle) Unruh, & LeaErla Sheffield; two brothers, Steve (Kim) Peters & Sam (Susan) Peters; & five grandchildren, Christian Marcus Wade, Ethan Tryce Grindle, Mitchell Trenton Wayne Grindle, Landen Seth Grindle & Marshal Liam Tate.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11 AM at Lord & Stephens, Danielsville with Rev. Jeff Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at the Comer City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her four oldest grandsons, her son-in-law Chad Gary, & Gage Gillespie. The family will receive friends Friday, November 13, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
