William Russ and wife Ann had the following children:
1. William Russ (c. 1758 - c1798)m. Hannah . Lived in Georgetown Distrist. had 2 daughers Elizabeth & Margaret. They were unmarried on 29 Sept. 1800 in Marion Co., SC when they witnessed will of Wm. Britton.
2.Jonathan Russ (c.1774 - c.1852 Bladen Co., NC. m. Mary (c.1777 - ) about 1798. He lived in Georgetown District, SC with his father until 1820 and returned to Bladen Co., NC.

On 31 August 1795, William Russ witnessess the Will of Thomas Russ. pg.75 Bladen Co., NC Abstracts of Wills 1734-1900 Wanda S. Campbell 1975.

On pg.215 of Roster of Soldiers from North Carolina in the American Revolution published 1932 by the North Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), there is an entry for William Russ of the Wilmington, NC District. A pay Voucher, 1779-1782 from the Wilmington District is on file with the NC State Archives, No 3263 dated 21 March 1783.
William Russ was issued land grants on 12 Nov 1779 and 23 Oct 1782 in Bladen Co., NC (NC, U.S., Land Grant Files, 1693-1960 Certificate # range 3106-3381.) " Lying in the middle neck between Crawley Swamp and the Bareford Swamp".
Colony of NC 1765-1775 Abstracts of Land Patents Vol. 2 part A by Margaret M. Hofmann "#5286 pg. 398. William Russ. 22 July 1774. 630 acres in Bladen Co., on Crawleys Swamp, joining Stephen Bryan, John Dryden, T. Owen, pine long Bay, B. Randal, and Edmund. Russ.
