WEST FRANKFORT - Diana Wallace, 55, of 601 E. Clark St. died at 5 a.m. Monday, March 31, 1997, in Union Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Baggio officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. today at Union Funeral Home. The rosary will be said at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Central Junior High School library or the church. Mrs. Wallace was a teacher at Central Junior High School. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, the St. Bernadette Sodality and Ladies of the Moose, and past president of the 25th District Junior Women's Club. She was born May 6, 1941, in West Frankfort to Lambert and Candida Nancy (Pattarozzi) Bartonlini. She married Harvey E. Wallace III on Feb. 11, 1961. He survives. Other survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Sharon Wallace of Adams, Mass., and David and Rebecca Wallace of West Frankfort; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Randy Puckett of West Frankfort and Linda and Greg Smothers of Marion; eight granddaughters, Andrea Puckett and Bethany and Madison Wallace, all of West Frankfort, Julie and Jaimie Wallace, both of Adams, Mass., and Paige, Haley and Darby Smothers, all of Marion; one sister, Christina Bartolini of Portland, Ore.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pat and Bob Hindman of West Frankfort and Pat and Dennis Wallace of Plumfield; one niece and her husband, Dawn and Dan Lefler of Nashville, Tenn.; one nephew, Brian Wallace of Plumfield; one uncle, Oswaldo Bartolini of Milan, Italy; many cousins; and many dear friends. Her parents preceded her in death.
