Clarence R. "Lefty" Duncan, 73, Worthington, died Wednesday, Sept 17, at his residence. - - Born July 20, 1924, in Coal City, he was the son of Charles Williams and Cecil (Spangler) Duncan.

He retired from Peabody mine in Coal City in 1977. He also owned and operated a TV and appliance store in Coal City for several years.

Survivors include one step-son, Tim Cullison of Palestine, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma (Howell) Duncan in 1993. - - Graveside services were 1 p.m. Friday, Sept 18, at Worthington Cemetery.

Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington was in charge of Arrangements.
