Rhonda Kay Elkins, 51, passed away on Wednesday July 1, 2015, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was a loving wife and aunt. She was of faith and was a member of Goodsprings Baptist Church of Etowah.
She traveled the country alongside her husband working as an office manager in the industrial construction industry. They traveled seeing the country, meeting new people and created a second family which she loved deeply. She was surrounded by several nieces, nephews and cousins which were the lights of her life. She loved them so much, and enjoyed watching them grow up.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Williams; mother, Betty Wright; brother, Michael Williams; grandparents, Luther and Elisa Starkey, and Ray and Grace Williams.
Rhonda is survived by her loving and deeply devoted husband, Ralph Eugene Elkins. They were together for 23 years and shared just about every minute of their lives. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, Paisley and Bryson Mize, Sierra Orr, and Marcia Tolbert; cousins, Addison and Brody Crumley, Savannah-Claire, Scarlett, Sailor and Branna Starkey; her beloved sister, Kim Mize; brother, Chris Williams; and many beloved aunts, uncles and loving family members.
Flowers were loved by Rhonda and are appreciated. However, donations to the American Cancer Society, 871 N. Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909, in Rhonda's name are encouraged.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Atchley Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 7 p.m. in the West Chapel with the Rev. Gary Holland officiating.
Atchley Funeral Home of Sevierville is in charge of arrangements.
