Richard Wayne Whipple, of Bedford, Iowa was born December 11, 1955 at Elmo, Missouri, to George Ernest and Lora Margerie (Hamilton) Whipple.
Richard lived locally most of his life. He farmed until ill health forced his retirement in 2002.
He passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lora and grandson Jayden Whipple.
Richard is survived by his sons: Richard Whipple and fiancé Shelly Blackford of Sharpsburg, Iowa, Jonathan Whipple of Bedford, and Kody (Shantel) Whipple of Clarinda; siblings Lora (Greg) Wood of Clarinda, Deloris (Rick) Brumfield of Gravity, Iowa, Calvin (Linda) Whipple of Clarinda, and Ronnie Whipple and friend Lisa Jones of Clarinda; grandchildren Trey, Devin, Riley, Hunter and a baby on the way, Crystian, Echo, Xavier, Zoltan, and Akima; great uncle and aunt Jim and Evelyn Whipple of Clarinda; aunt and uncle Frances and Dale Moore of Omaha, Nebraska, aunt Deloris Argo of New Market, Iowa, uncles Larry Hamilton of Coin and Dallas Hamilton of Burlington Junction, Missouri; numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 27, 2015 at Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Clearmont Cemetery, Clearmont, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to Richard Whipple Memorial Fund. Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel provided arrangements. www.MemoriesOnline.com
