Elton “Al” Allen, 78, of Mary Gran Nursing Center, Clinton, went to receive his Heavenly crown on Sunday, November 8, 2015.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, November 11 at Butler Funeral Home, 6535 Clinton Road, Stedman, with Rev. Jesse Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Allen was an Army veteran, serving from 1963 to 1967. He was the son of William and Betty Hobson Allen. A kind and loving husband, father, son, and brother, he was loved by many. He retired from Fasco, MJ Soffe and worked at Walmart Garden Center.

He is survived by his wife, Lila Allen; sons, Randy Allen, Charles Bullard of Fayetteville; daughters Diane Holland and husband Leon of Roseboro, Janet Brock of Raleigh; sisters, Lois Brown of Roanoke Rapids, Judy Jackson and husband Clete of Rock Hill, SC, Carolyn Hinson and husband J.R. of Fuquay Varina; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews that were all special to him.
