Life's Summary

Delores Richardson Davis has gone to live with her Lord.
Growing up in South Carolina, she was the eldest of seven children with six brothers. After graduating from Anderson High School, she went on to work for Winn Dixie as a bookkeeper. While there she met the love of her life, Jesse Maron Davis and they married in 1954.They moved to Athens, GA where Jesse was transferred with Winn Dixie as a store manager on Prince Avenue.
Jesse and Delores became the proud parents of three daughters: Cindy, Lynda and Gina. Delores was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She assisted her husband in their wholesale meatpacking plant, Tenderland Foods on Hawthorne Ave. After Jesse's death in 1991 Delores got her driver's license and worked as a receptionist at the Athens Community Council on Aging and retired in 2008. She was featured in "Portraits of Our Community," a member of Boggs Chapel United Methodist Church where she was a devoted member of the Women's Club.

In addition to her husband, their daughter Cindy preceded her parents in death in 1968 of bone cancer.

Left to cherish her memories: 2 Daughters: Lynda Hale and Gina Lowe; 3 Brothers: Don Richardson, Billy Richardson and Ray Richardson; Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
