Eva J. "Pete" Sullivan, 85, of West Terre Haute, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Springhill Village in Terre Haute. She was born June 10, 1930, in New Goshen, to Marion Childress and Ethel Bright Childress.
Her husband, Donald Quentin "Sully" Sullivan, whom she married on June 2, 1951, in St. Mary-of-the-Woods Village Catholic Church preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2012. She also was preceded in death by a son, John Sullivan; her parents; and four sisters.
She was a member of St. Mary-of-the-Woods Village Catholic Church. She enjoyed her flowers, playing bingo and feeding the birds.
Mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, in St. Mary's Village Church with Father Fred Pasche officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, with a prayers service at 12:20 p.m. and procession to the church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers and staff of Springhill Village for the wonderful care they provided. The family also suggests that if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary's Village Church with envelopes available in the funeral home.
