Spanish American War Soldier. Physician. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1870. Except for his time in the service, he lived in Pottstown, Montgomery County. He would practice medicine there for thirty-five years and be on staff at Pottstown Hospital. He had entered the 6th Regiment of the Pennsylvania National Guard as a first lieutenant and assistant surgeon in 1881. He served as a major and surgeon in the 6th Regiment during the Spanish American War. He retired from the Guard in 1914. He was the husband of Isabella Royer.
