Mr. Cantrell was born in Sunset, SC a son of the late Walter Troy and Verdie Alexander Cantrell. He was retired from Ryobi Motor Products in Pickens and later worked in real estate. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Following his retirement, Mr. Cantrell loved to travel both out west and to the mountains. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a brother, Willie T. Cantrell of Moncks Corner, SC and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by a sister, Mathree Warren, a brother, Lloyd Cantrell, and a niece, Linda Warren.
