Don McCroskey Rowe, 82, of Evensville, passed away early Tuesday morning Nov. 3, 2015, in his home. He was born on Oct. 8, 1933, in Atlanta, Ga., to the late Robert and Edna Bartlett Rowe. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Jean Epps Rowe.
Don was raised in Atlanta, Ga. He retired as a U.S. Navy chief petty officer in 1969. He became a resident of Evensville in 1995. Don was a member of Summer City Church of God in Pikeville, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Ann White Rowe, of Evensville; three sons, Mike Rowe, of St. Simons Island, Ga., Steve (Wanda) Rowe, of Woodstock, Ga., and Jeff (Debbie) Rowe, of Smyrna, Ga.; grandchildren, Jennifer Klamer, Ashley Harwell, Kayla Lother, J.C. Rowe and Zachary Rowe; step-children, Grady Lenning, Darlene Odom and Louise Waldrop; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Freddie Marler officiating.
