Secor- Joanna Trotter Sparks, 80 of 2223CR 600N Secor passed away at 11:00 p.m. Wednesday, August9, 2006 at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, August 13, 2006 at the United Church of Christ, El Paso. Rev. John Libert will officiate. Interment will be in Secor Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4 to 7 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso.

Joanna was born September 23, 1925 at Bloomington a daughter of John Clayton and and Feyette Anthenat Bailey. She married Harold E. Sparks on April 9, 1945 at El Paso. He died May 14, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, David Sparks, El Paso and Michael (Linda) Sparks, Secor; two daughters, Susan (Ken) Johnson, Goreville and Sharon (Craig) Duncan, Secor; one sister Beverly Stitt Stone, DesPlaines; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two grandsons.
Joanna was a member of the United Church of Christ, El Paso and the Woodford County Retired Teachers Association. She retired as an elementary school teacher in the Roanoke and El Paso school districts. She and her husband founded and were owners of Fairlakes Golf Course Inc., Secor.
