Beulah Mae (Booty) Morris Collier, 87 of Cumberland entered into eternal life Friday, August 24, 2012. She died peacefully at her home. Beulah was born October 1, 1924 to the late Green and Luria Mae Allen Morris. Beulah was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother , and founding member of Trinity Pentecostal Church. She loved to quilt and garden.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 33 years Charlie W. Collier, Sr; her brothers, Edward Morris and wife Maxie, Earnie Morris and wife Ethel, Denver Morris and wife Edna, Walker Morris, Babe Morris, infant brothers Worlie Morris and Charlie Morris, sisters Thelma Morris Fields, and Luria Mae (Angel) Morris King, and sister-in-law, Alice wife of J.C. Morris.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Charlie W. Collier and wife Carol of Richmond, Ky, Ronald E. Collier of Cumberland, Jimmy Collier and wife Henrietta of Cumberland, Greg Collier and wife Angie of Richmond, Roger Collier and wife Vera of Cumberland, and her daughter Melissa Collier of Kingsport, TN; twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren; her brothers Hollie Morris and wife Ethel of Cumberland, J.C. Morris of Michigan City, IN; sisters-in-law Beulah wife of the late Walker Morris of LaPorte, IN and Charlotte wife of the late Babe Morris of Corbin, Ky; brother-in-law Terry King of Cumberland and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pall bearers will be John Shannon Carmichael, Jason Daren Collier, Matthew Fields, Seth Grindstaff, Allen Morris and Hollie Morris, Jr.
The family will receive friends between 6 - 9 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Hiram Trinity Tabernacle. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2012, @ 1 pm at the church with the Reverend Garland Sergent and Reverend John Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow in the Collier Cemetery in Eolia, KY.
