Raymond Fields, 91, of San Angelo, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at his residence.

Visitation will be held 1:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday October 18, 2015 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on 2:00pm Monday, October 19, 2015 at the St. Paul Baptist Church, with Rev. Fredd B. Adams II, officiating. Burial will take place at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.


He was born on February 14, 1924 to Haston and Emilie (Davis) Fields in Richmond, TX. He was a World War II Veteran, serving his country in the U.S. Army. Raymond worked as an entomology supervisor for Goodfellow Air Force Base. On March 27, 1948 he married Rosa Givens in San Angelo. Raymond and Rosa lived in San Angelo, Texas.

He was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge Jackson #15, Northwest Lions Clubs and the NAACP.

Pallbearers will be Grant Brown, Alfred Fields, Haston Fields, Pierre Fields, Terence Fields and R.C. McArthur

He was preceded in death by wife, Rosa Fields, father, Haston Fields, mother, Emilie Fields Barnes, brother, Haston Fields, Jr., and a sister, Vera Gardner.

Raymond is survived by his son, Ray Fields; daughter in law, Colleen Sullivan; grandson, Sean Fields; sister in law, Rosie Fields all of San Angelo and numerous nieces and nephews.
