THE VILLAGES — Douglas Hugh Anderson, 74, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012.

Mr. Anderson was born in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Florida from New Jersey in 2003.

He was an Army veteran, member of the American Legion and the Princeton Agricultural Association in New Jersey; The Villages Masonic Lodge; and the Wildwood OES and Hope Lutheran Church in The Villages. He loved golf and enjoyed computers.

Survivors include his wife Janet G.; daughters Lauren Swaney, Pennsylvania, Kimberly Anderson Claeys; stepdaughter Gayle L. Gray, The Villages; stepson, Scott A. Gray, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 9, at Hope Lutheran Church, The Villages.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 8, at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home with a Masonic Service at 4:30 p.m.

Inurnment will be in Hope Lutheran Church Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Lutheran Church, 250 Avenida Los Angeles, The Villages, FL 32159 or American Cancer Society, 1650 W. Main St. #3, Leesburg, FL 34748.

Arrangements are being handled by Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake.

Villages. There will be a visitation at the Lady Lake
Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Sunday, January 8,
2012 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with a Masonic Service at
4:30 PM. Inurnment will be in Hope Lutheran Church
