Donald L. Mitchell 90, of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was a Catholic by Faith. He was born August 18, 1931 in Bethany, WV to the late William and Rose Nixon Mitchell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 yrs. Nancy DiNardo Mitchell, three children Cindy and Bob Antill, Julie and Dave Hall all of Wellsburg, WV, and Steve and Wendi Mitchell of Bethany, WV, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren also survive. He was employed by Brooke County Schools for 33 years, mainly as a custodian at Wellsburg Middle School. He also served in the US Navy for 4 years. His greatest joy was spending time at the Mitchell property with his children and many grandchildren, camping, picnicking and celebrating special occasions. We would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for the all the care. Visitation will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the Liturgy of the Word service at Noon at Reasner Funeral Home 1515 Charles St. Wellsburg, WV with Father Arul Anthony as Celebrant. Interment will follow at New Bethany Cemetery, Bethany, WV with full military grave side rites by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
