George battled Pancreatic cancer for the last 17 months and was in Hospice Care in the home.
George was born March 9, 1955 in High Point, the son of Reverend George W. McDaniel, Sr. and Mary Teer McDaniel. George was a member of the Class of 1973 at Ragsdale High School. He was in route sales, a former supervisor with Pepsi and most recently a manager with McDonald's on South Main St.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Martha Miller McDaniel; a sister, Martha Nunn and husband Otis; a nephew, Samuel Nunn; a niece, Angela Jolly; a great niece, Kristin Cross and two great nephews, Bradley Cross and Adam Nunn.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Guilford Memorial Park conducted by the Reverend Lark Shore.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bernard Chinnasami and his staff and the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont especially Deborah Phillips, RN for the care and love given to George during this time.
